I was one of the first people who bought an Apple iPhone when they first came out. I had been a committed Verizon user with my Motorola Razor phone and absolutely resisted the change to a new phone and different service. Despite equipment issues, network failings, dropped calls and a steep learning curve, I finally [...]

I always watch the State of the Union address even though I am a Republican and am a little disappointed in the 2009 results. Aside from Mr. Obama’s considerable oratory skills, I enjoyed the subtle drama of watching who stands up and sits down, who sits on the aisle as he walks in, the symbolism [...]

Most people remember Winston Churchill as one of the world’s greatest leaders, galvanizing Great Britain to stand up to the Nazi onslaught during World War II. However, it was his love of the written word and his eloquence with language that people often remember. His quotes have relevance in our times as much as they [...]

This is the most important blog post I’m going to write, so pay attention closely. It’s the end of the year and naturally we all look back to assess where we’ve been and how we’ve done. Part of that ritual is to create New Year’s resolutions that will guide us to improve ourselves. I did [...]

You see people making resolutions, reconnecting with friends and family, giving to those who are less fortunate and creating wonderful things [...]

Whether it’s winning the U.S. Open by 15 strokes or co-founding the largest conferencing service provider in the world, a proven track record exemplifies a proven plan and process. As a golfer, I look at Tiger Woods as the gold standard of golf and my CEO as the gold standard of conference calling.
There is a [...]

Black Friday has come and gone and on the surface, retailers are breathing a collective sigh of relief. There were a lot of pundits guessing about what might happen this year, but thanks to one of Copper Conferencing’s customers, I think I had the inside track. Watching how trash flows in and out of a mall is one of the best indicators of how the Christmas season will go for both retailers and with shoppers.

I’m not a big winter person. I don’t like being cold and I don’t like putting on layers of clothes. I don’t think I’m alone in that regard. That’s why Florida is filling up with people from cold places like Minnesota and Wisconsin. Although spring and summer can be very pleasant, [...]
