More companies meet virtually as conventions canceled

As evidence that more and more companies are looking for ways to survive in today’s economy, USA Today recently ran a story penned by Gary Stoller about how the recession is forcing businesses to cut back on travel and conventions. Below is an excerpt from the story:

“Instead of traveling, many associations and companies have turned to “virtual” conventions or “Webinars,” in which attendees meet via Internet hookup without leaving their offices or homes.”
