What attracts newcomers to Copper Conferencing?

As a student and business professional, what attracted me to Copper Conferencing, was the accessibility and usability of the audio and web conferencing services. It was very easy to get set up, log in, and start a meeting instantly. Other conferencing companies either required me to sign a contract or make a payment before even using their product for the first time.

Many people do not understand what conferencing is or why they would need it. I was one of those people until I found myself in this situation: I am a college student at a commuter school, Georgia State University, and since I am a business student, a lot of my classes require either group projects or group papers for a portion of our total grade. The upside to this is that I love working in teams.  But at GSU and many other schools, it is hard to find a time to get together or schedule a sit-down to finalize a group project assignment.

One day the thought occurred to me – why don’t we meet online and not stress about a location that everyone is close to or even the expense of gas? So, I went searching for an online program that we would all be able to meet on, discuss options, see each others’ progress and even mute the person that was arguing like they do on that ESPN show “Around the Horn.”

During my search  I found the perfect solution – Copper Conferencing. Not only was Copper Conferencing quick and painless to use, but it was also cost-effective and met all my requirements.

All I had to do was call the number on their website, give them my information, and “snap!” I was set up.  The amount that it cost to do my group meeting wasn’t even half as much as it would have cost to drive to meet everyone, especially since we were able to meet more often and finish the assignment a week early.  Also, not only did using audio and web conferencing make me look like a superhero to my group, but I have recommended it to every class that requires some sort of group assignment and have received many thanks for my recommendation.

If you find yourself in a similar situation where you need to gather several people together and scheduling is difficult, or:

  • you are a businessperson who prefers not to travel or waste gas on trips to meetings
  • you are an employee who wants to save your business some money in this wild economy
  • you are a mom that works out of home

then Copper Conferencing is the service for you.
